leave it as you found it

A staff member will be available prior to the end of your session to ensure everything has been returned to  original condition. Please take care to return equipment back to their original space and remove any trash from your session. A cleaning fee of $40-$100 may be assessed if the studio is not suitable for the next client.

punctuality

Please arrive on time for your session. If you arrive early, please notify the studio manager as there is no official waiting area.

food & drink

No outside food or drink is permitted in the studio space. Liquor is not permitted in the studio space. See studio staff member for questions. Smoking is not permitted in the studio space. Drugs are not permitted on the studio premises.

sub-lease or time sharing

Sub-leasing or time-sharing is not permitted,

pet policy

Pets must be approved by studio staff. A non-refundable pet fee of $50 per pet will be charged in addition to the regular booking rate. Please note, the studio is a family-friendly environment. To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, pets must remain on a leash at all times. If your pet has an accident, a $50 cleaning fee will be accessed. Should your pet cause any damage to furniture, props, equipment, backdrops, etc., you will be held responsible for the cost of the repairs. Any necessary expenses for restoration, repair, or replacement will be deducted from your security deposit. 

Check-ins

For hourly rental options and monthly memberships (except annual memberships), a staff member will check you in.

capacity limits

Studio bays have a maximum limit of five (5) persons including photographer(s).
Please see studio staff member for capacity when renting the entire studio space for an event or workshop.

adult & pornographic photo shoots

The studio space may not be used for adult and pornographic content. If, at any time, a studio staff member believes a photography client is at risk of harm (in any way) during a session, and/or if the session is in violation of studio rules, the session can be terminated immediately and all fees paid to the studio up to that point, will be forfeited. Boudoir sessions are permitted however, prior approval by a studio staff member is required before a session can be booked. Full-nude sessions are not permitted.

soundproofing

Please bear in mind, the studio space is not sound-proofed. Please be considerate of adjacent office spaces and businesses that are located below the studio.

termination & bans

Please respect the space and studio rules. The Farrar building is a historic landmark and we ask that everyone respect the space. Failure to adhere to the studio rules may result in termination of your session and a permanent ban from future bookings. 

smoke & flame

Smoke and open flames are not permitted in the studio space. Fog machines will require prior approval from studio staff. Fire extinguishers are located in the studio, please be sure to note the location.
